In October 1997, Bolivian businessman started the FOBOPAL proyect through an agroindustrial plant for canned processed food. Since then, FOBOPAL has become an important piece to the industrial development for the tropical region of Cochabamba and the main producer and exporter of hearts of palm in Bolivia.
